He tells her about their relationship, about all the moves he wishes he'd made, and how he realizes that if he'd just made one or two tiny little different decisions they would have been in a great place when she nailed that interview and he would have followed her to Paris, eventually coming with her to someone else's Jazz club instead of her walking into his.
